Fish out perpetrators of Jos killing – Fulani group tells FG, Plateau govt

A Fulani sociocultural group, Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has tasked both federal and Plateau State governments to hurriedly fish out those responsible for killing innocent travellers on Rukuba road, Jos North over the weekend.

KACRAN’s National President, Hon. Khalil Mohammed Bello, in a statement issued on Wednesday described the unfortunate incident as barbaric.

“We of Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria, (KACRAN), with interest is the maintenance of peace and unity of our country wish to sorrowfully state our strong condemnation of the aforementioned barbaric act of mayhems and killings of innocent Nigerians among whom have never been in their lives committed any offence to anybody in Plateau State which will warrant their murder in cold blood”, he said.

Bello further stated that KACRAN is against the criminal action, noting that such extra judicial killing is creating more harm or danger to the nation’s fragile security system more especially at this time when all well meaning Nigerians are praying ardently for the country’s peace and security.

He, on behalf of the association, called on the federal and state governments to expedite action in fishing out and arresting perpetrators of the dastardly act and deal with them decisively in order to serve as a deterrent to others.

Bello commended security personnel and volunteers in the state who assisted in tracing and rescuing all trapped passengers during the painful incident and kept them in a very safe place as well as taking all the wounded victims to designated hospital and buried the deceased according to Islamic injunction.

KACRAN’S National President called on Plateau State Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Boro Husseini, to ensure that members give security personnel all the necessary cooperation and support towards the maintenance of peace and security in the state and Nigeria at large.

“We are also calling on all Nigerians regardless of their tribe, religion or political inclination to be calm and law abiding citizens of the nation and live in peace with one another in wherever area they live in the country”, Bello urged.
