Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has described the former Nigerian military President, Major General Ibrahim Badamosi Babaginda (Rtd), as an authentic Nigerian Statesman of gargantuan proportions whose career in the military and in the governance of Nigeria have become key critical components of Nigerian history.
Governor Ikpeazu in a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka and sent to BBNAIJA ONLINE” on Tuesday, further described Babaginda as a man who understands the political undercurrents of the diversity of the Nigerian state and how best to use it to forge a more united country, adding that the place of the ex-military President in the history of Nigeria is assured.
According to the message by Ememanka, “One key characteristic that defines the personal trait of the General” Ikpeazu states.
“Even in retirement, the voice of IBB continues to reverberate on national issues while a greater number of his policies while in office remain reference points in administrative depth and the use of merit as a basis for leadership selection.
